Our first featured scholarship today is The Mensa Foundation Scholarship Program, which awards more than $200,000 in assistance every year to college-bound students around the globe. Scholarships are awarded based solely on 550-word essays expressing applicants’ academic and professional goals and how their personal experiences will help them to accomplish those goals.
There are two requirements for applicants:
Applicants must intend to enroll in a degree program in an accredited U.S. institution of higher learning during the academic year following the application date.
Applicants must submit an application and essay explaining his or her career, academic and/or vocational goals.
The entry deadline is January 15, 2025.
This scholarship doesn’t look at a student’s transcript, test scores, or resume and doesn’t accept letters of recommendation. Winners are selected SOLELY based on their essays about their academic and professional goals. Like most scholarships, the student’s Personal Narrative, based on college major and career clarity, is critical!
