$20,000 Math Modeling Challenge
To celebrate the launch of my new FREE webinar, Why High School Juniors Need To Apply For Scholarships Now, today’s featured scholarship is another one open to high school juniors (and seniors, as well): the $20,000 MathWorks Math Modeling Challenge. Here are the details you need to know:
Eligibility:
High school juniors and seniors. Homeschool and cyberschool students are also eligible.
See complete eligibility and rules here.
Application Requirements:
M3 Challenge poses open-ended and timely problems. Participants should provide insight and suggest solutions via use of the modeling process.
See complete guidelines here.
Teachers-coaches must register teams by the February 24, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. EST deadline.
Tips and Suggestions for Winning:
Normally this is where I offer suggestions for how to make your application and essay the best it can be. However, this scholarship opportunity is purely based on the competition. So, the only “advice” I can give is that if you don’t like writing essays, and/or if you are a math wiz, then make sure you don’t let this opportunity pass you by. With a $20,000 grand prize, and 8 other monetary prizes available, this is a pretty fantastic opportunity!
